Henna is a tropical plant that thrives in Africa, northern Australia, and southern Asia, and it is mentioned in numerous ancient literature. This herb is known as camphire in the Bible. Henna is derived from the Arabic name for Lawsonia inermis, Hina. Mehandi is derived from the Sanskrit word mendhik, while henna is derived from the Arabic name for Lawsonia inermis, Hina. The henna plant's leaves contain lawsone, a red-orange chemical that can stain the skin, hair, and nails for a short time. Henna leaves were dried and powdered into a powder, blended into a paste, and applied using a number of procedures before hair dyes and tattoos became popular in the realm of beauty. By combining the leaves of this plant with the leaves of other plants, various colours can be obtained.
